After several singles and EPs that have earned her millions of listens, Sevdaliza finally releases her very first album ISON on CD and vinyl. Often compared to FKA Twigs, the young artist, who was born in Iran and grew up in Holland, became known for videos that are as much audio-visual experiences. She has also collaborated with A$AP Ferg and the Parisian producer STWO.
ISON is an album about the human experience, it is an inner search that Sevdaliza has conducted on herself and her past lives that will give birth to 16 songs, her 16 children. Her melancholic and visceral voice floats over haunting layers with a trip hop scent and comes to embrace classical harmonies and sharp strings. The minimalist and sparse beats overlap with unique sound textures as rhythmic tensions slowly build to a chaotic climax.
