Born in the heart of the Pacific Northwest punk scene in the late 80s, Seaweed formed in Tacoma and Olympia, Washington, around vocalist Aaron Stauffer and his friend Clint Werner. Joined by Wade Neal, John Atkins, and Bob Bulgrien, the band quickly established themselves as one of the most authentic forces in regional alternative punk. Between 1989 and 1999, Seaweed released five punk-pop albums and played over a thousand shows, forging a reputation as a band that was both intense and deeply sincere. After their DIY beginnings at Sub Pop, a detour through Hollywood Records, and a notable return to Merge Records, the band remains a cult reference for that scene. Merge Records is reissuing *Actions and Indications* (1999) on vinyl, fully remastered and pressed on high-quality vinyl. This new edition also includes three unreleased tracks (digital version). Recorded at Uptone Electric Studio in Tacoma during the summer of 1998, *Actions and Indications* is a condensation of raw energy, powerful melodies, and vibrant guitars—an essential record for understanding Seaweed's independent and passionate spirit.
