Scott Gilmore describes his approach very simply: I make music using synthesizers, drum machines, bass, and electric and acoustic guitars. I try to write music that is both beautiful and attractive, and to create many melodies, harmonies, and counterpoints that intertwine and produce a dynamic effect. My influences include Brian Eno, Cluster, Kraftwerk, Stereolab, Talking Heads, YMO, 70s and 80s Ethiopian music, J.S. Bach, and the outtakes from the Beach Boys' Smile sessions.
