SCHØØL formed in Paris in autumn 2023, a new project by Francis Mallari (singer of Rendez-Vous), joined by Erica Ashleson (Special Friend, Dog Park) on bass, Jack Moase (Liquid Face) on guitar, and Alex Battez (Marble Arch) on drums. Friends in real life, they came together in the studio to form the band they'd dreamed of as teenagers, a band inspired by 90s shoegaze groups like Swirlies or Drop Nineteens. *I Think My Life Has Been OK* is the band's debut album, somewhere between shoegaze and skate culture. Already recognized for their hit N.S.M.L.Y.D, SCHØØL is shaping up to be one of the most exciting French rock bands of the moment.
