Sacrifice

Description

« Sacrifice », the 20th studio album by SAXON, and the second to be released on Militia Guard (the band's own label) distributed by UDR / EMI. This true legend of the famous New Wave Of British Heavy Metal ended 2012 on a high note by releasing the DVD "Heavy Metal Thunder, The Movie", an exciting documentary tracing the entirety of their career and featuring on the cover of Rock Hard magazine with a comprehensive interview (7 pages!!!) Far from slowing down, in 2013, Saxon will continue on this glorious path by releasing this new album and preparing for a long tour that will pass through HellFest on June 21, 22, and 23, 2013. After which the band will tour in France in the fall. Recorded in England, at LS Studios in Yorkshire, these 10 new tracks are co-produced by the band's charismatic leader, Biff Byford, in collaboration with Andy Sneap (Accept, Megadeth, Machine Head) and Jacky Lehmann (Iced Earth, The Haunted). In addition to Byford on vocals, we find on « Sacrifice », the SAXON lineup that has been making waves for several years now: Paul Quinn and Doug Scarratt on guitars, Nibs Carter on bass, and Nigel Glockler on drums. With such a record and thanks to their always unstoppable live performances, SAXON remains an ultra-solid band that manages to delight both fans of the NWOBHM and lovers of more recent records with a more "modern" sound. SAXON is an indomitable riff machine, which has a special gift for creating true metal anthems! Once again, the quintet offers us a full-on bombardment, a deluge of tempered steel that is not devoid of melodies. In short, great, good heavy metal made in England!
