Santo and Johnny Farina were an Italian-American rock and roll instrumental duo from Brooklyn, New York. Inspired by the country music he heard on the radio, Santo took up the steel guitar in his teens and he began teaching his younger brother Johnny to play the standard electric guitar, and they began performing as a duo. They are best known for their debut single "Sleep Walk," one of the biggest hits from the golden age of rock and roll. Following "Sleep Walk," Santo & Johnny soon released their self-titled debut album. Their second hit single "Teardrop" was taken from their second album "Encore."
