Creeper are back with a third album!
For their latest/third full studio album, "Sanguivore", British five-piece Creeper made a blood pact to give free rein to the things that truly define them; to take a flaming torch into the darkest recesses of frontman Will Gould's ever-fertile mind.
The result: more than 40 minutes of music combining the grandiose and the epic with the punk rock spirit that has been the cornerstone of the Creeper sound since their 2017 debut: a ripped leather jacket wrapped in a velvet cloak, a cloak lined with red satin, of course.
Drawing on folklore and myths, and the underbelly of popular culture, Creeper has created a space all its own; a misty world of gothic imagery and dark romanticism, of crypts and castle ruins, of unrequited love and the undead - a world where love has a price and beauty smiles with sharp teeth.
From the opening statement "Further Than Forever", a multi-layered nine-minute tour de force that would certainly bring a smile to the face of the late Jim Steinman, to the conclusion "Spook And Mercy", a nocturnal tale of "little Mercy" and her voracious exploits, "Sanguivore" is an extremely ambitious and vaguely conceptual journey through the glorious and the graphic.
