Description

San Salvador brings their punk influence to Occitan songs. They have known each other forever and have been singing together since childhood. So, at the same time as they learned to sing, to harmonize, and to timbre their voices according to the heritage of their region of the Massif Central, the young people who would later form San Salvador learned a certain freedom. They went through rock and punk, became attached to mixing brass with voices, before returning six years ago to a cappella, which they armed with two toms and a tambourine. Their polyphony is as rooted as it is creative, as "traditional" as it is resolutely contemporary. Irresistibly, we rise with them towards trance. The listener feels carried away far into a elsewhere of time that, curiously, is as familiar as it is disorienting.
