We had almost given up on this debut album from English artist Sampha. After making a name for himself alongside SBTRKT, Sampha began to spread his wings, releasing singles one by one and two EPs in two years. Of course, we remember the excellent single "Too Much," which was later sampled by Drake on his album *Nothing Was The Same*.
In just a few years, he has become one of the most enigmatic and respected English artists of his generation, and as proof, in recent months, many artists have been clamoring for him, from Kanye West to Alicia Keys, including Frank Ocean and the talented Solange.
Today, Sampha is ready to write a new chapter in history by releasing his debut album, which was born out of pain, as he lost his mother, who was seriously ill during the recording process. He pays a heartbreaking tribute to her on the track "(No One Knows Me) Like The Piano."
