A true prodigy of US songwriting, Sammy Brue started writing songs at the age of 10 and has already released several albums and EPs. Originally from Ogden, Utah, Brue gained particular attention at the Sundance Film Festival when he was performing on the street, in the freezing cold! This was followed by a signing with the New West label and a debut album recorded in Muscle Shoals with Ben Tanner of Alabama Shakes and John Paul White of The Civil Wars as producers. Brue says he is equally influenced by Nirvana as by Leadbelly and Woody Guthrie, and this is indeed what can be heard on "Teenage Mayhem."
