{"product_id":"samba-toure_gandadiko_2020_mdl","title":"Gandadiko","description":"A prolific yet discreet artist, Malian singer and guitarist Samba Touré has, in just over a decade, established himself as one of his country's most admired bluesmen. His seventh album, Gandadiko, strengthens his position. Samba Touré's world is thus composed, between past and present. His previous album, Albala, echoed the troubled period his country was going through three years ago. This time, the situation inspires Wo Yende Alakar (\"Don't play with fire\"), which warns those who might be tempted to join the cause of terrorists. Unknowingly – at least initially – Samba began to accompany these lyrics with a guitar style that, in a slowed-down version, recalls \"La Chanson du forçat\" by Serge Gainsbourg, the theme song for the TV series Vidocq broadcast in France in the late 60s. His evident proximity to the blues is natural and nourished and regenerated by the American blues-rock compilations he enjoys listening to. He also has a desire to transmit: now counting among the elders of the Malian scene, he surrounded himself on this album with young musicians from his homeland whom he wanted to give a chance in the studio, as needed. The result is a freshness that prevents Gandadiko from falling into the trap of repetition.","brand":"Samba Touré","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":55312127525208,"sku":null,"price":0.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/4030433602010_a7c50b61-1bba-473d-9450-06eee85dbfa2.jpg?v=1760405287","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en\/products\/samba-toure_gandadiko_2020_mdl","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
