No Future

With this new album: "No Future," François PETIT, a guitar virtuoso, has found companions who match his talent: Léo Ferdinand Cornélius MATHIEU on violin/mandolin and Phyllipa SCAMMELL on double bass/cello. "No Future," the title of the new recording, was not chosen by chance. François PETIT and his band indeed pay homage to the punk saga, even daring to include a wild "Tango Pogo." The "reinterpretations" do not stop at this bold move, as they take the good old tarantella, renamed "Tarantella," into the picturesque rhythms of swing. From one track to another, the strings respond to and complement each other, and when the voice comes in – in the form of onomatopoeias or humming – it becomes an additional instrument. The album consists of 10 instrumental pieces and 3 sung tracks: "Ma vie," "La cuisine," and "Mambo bateau."
