The virtuoso American producer and saxophonist unveils his new album, which features reinterpretations of R&B and soul hits released between 1992 and 2004 (Aaliyah, Beyoncé, Erykah Badu, Boyz II Men). On the first single, "Anywhere," he is accompanied by Meshell Ndegeocello on vocals. Since 2020, Sam Gendel has become one of the most prominent figures in the new Los Angeles jazz scene, appearing on albums by Joachim Cooder and Sam Amidon, collaborating with Pino Palladino & Blake Mills on 'Notes With Attachments' and with Ross Gay, Bon Iver, and Mary Lattimore on 'Dilate Your Heart.'
