Considered one of the founding fathers of the revival of West African music, Salif Keita will create and accompany Mandinka music to new heights by constantly re-evaluating his artistic approach. It was in the early 70s that the man who would become an international star began his career with the "Rail Band de Bamako". During the 80s, Salif Keita would eventually export his music and record "Primpin" and "Tounkan" in the US.
