Saga is a Canadian progressive rock and neo-prog band formed in 1977 in Oakville (Ontario) Canada, by Michael Sadler and Jim Crichton. Emerging from post-1970 progressive rock, the Canadian band draws its influences from blues, funk, and classical music. Saga is one of the most successful neo-prog bands on an international scale, alongside Marillion and Pendragon, among others. They are the first Canadian rock band to play beyond the Iron Curtain. "The Pleasure & The Pain" is their 13th album, originally released in 1997.
