S began over a decade ago with just a guitar, four songs, and Jenn Ghetto’s harrowing vocals. "I started writing this record in early 2012, after a break-up. Like all S songs, I started the record in my bedroom, but I convinced my metal drummer friend Zach McNulty to help flesh it out, as well as my longtime friends Betsy Olson (on bass) and Carrie Murphy (on guitar), because I like hanging out with them and they both have cars.
