The magic of an acoustic guitar that once belonged to Kate Bush, gifted by Tears for Fears (who, legend has it, wrote “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” on this guitar) can be heard on the album. After a crucial first five years for the band, acclaimed by critics for their debut album “A Quality of Mercy” in 2017, appearing on countless year-end tops and playing alongside some of the world’s biggest artists, RVG released their second album “Feral” as the world went into lockdown in 2020. “Feral” was hailed by Rolling Stone Australia as “the record of a lifetime,” but for the four band members, “Brain Worms” is the most accomplished album they have ever made. They have surpassed their influences, outdone themselves, and tried new things. The result?
