Rustie travels through confused synthesizer sounds and the high-pitched tones of 80s pop guitars, the cash-infused grandiosity of new millennium R&B, the ecstasy rushes of rave memories, and white-hot pirate radios. In 2007, Rustie's EP Jagz The Smack was a miniature revolution: it synthesized the sounds of half a decade of electronic music, bringing what would later be called 'UK bass music'. He then released the already classic 12'' Zig Zag, Bad Science, and Play Doe/Tempered, his collaboration with Joker.
