Cet enregistrement auparavant disponible en DVD fait maintenant l’objet d’une édition en 9CD.Les 32 Sonates pour piano de Beethoven, connues comme 'Le Nouveau Testament'de la musique, représentent un tournant dans l’histoire de la littérature pianistique. Avec la 'Pathétique', 'Clair de lune', 'Waldstein', 'Appassionata', 'Hammerklavier' et la dernière 'Op. 111', le cycle comprend des pièces pour piano parmi les plus célèbres de tous les temps.
