Fear Is The Key

Description

The peaceful calm of Klondyke, Louisiana, is brutally interrupted when a ruthless unknown escapes from a courthouse, takes a young girl hostage at gunpoint, and flees the city in a stolen car. Who is he? What is he doing with this young girl, the isolated home of a multimillionaire, and this massive oil platform off the Gulf of Mexico? "Fear Is The Key" is a British action film from 1972 directed by Michael Tucher, starring Barry Newman ("Limit Point") and Suzy Kendall, adapted from the eponymous novel by Alistair MacLean published in 1961. The film is perhaps best remembered for its spectacular and endless car chase, which required over ten minutes of action music, demanding millimeter precision for each measure to perfectly blend with the sound effects of the chase. Knowing that Roy Budd was only 25 years old when he composed this music, the performance is all the more impressive. Fun fact: this is the first feature film of Sir Ben Kingsley, so feel free to check it out, especially if you enjoy energetic British jazz. In any case, the soundtrack will undoubtedly delight fans of jazz-funk and library music, particularly those from the KPM and Music De Wolfe labels. The album "Fear Is The Key" is available in a limited edition of 500 individually numbered copies, pressed on white and red marbled vinyl, and includes a booklet with liner notes.
