For your pleasure

Description

This second album by Roxy Music (the last recorded with Brian Eno) is a true classic. It offers a skillful balance between experimentation (Eno's 'treatments', of course, which would disappear after his departure, but also the wild saxophone flights of Andy MacKay) and a sense of pop melody (thanks to Bryan Ferry), perfectly illustrated by the sumptuous "In Every Dream Home a Heartache," with its menacing softness and heavily flanged false ending. Other highlights include "Do The Strand," the band's iconic track, and "Editions of You," which is almost punk. Shocking at the time for its visual aspect but also for its radically new music, the band, inventive and alluring, was at its artistic peak here.
