Description

ROSE TIGER. In 2017, Cyprien Jacquet, then a drummer in several bands (Jehnny Beth, Lescop, Bon Voyage Organisation Adrien Gallo...), chose this evocative name to launch his solo project. A complete aesthetic and musical universe, marked by the influence of rock icons from recent decades, in which the artist takes on the guise of his alter-ego 'Wendy Killman'. His first two EPs, eighties-inspired, confirmed him as a talented composer and versatile musician, equally skilled on electric guitar, at the microphone, or behind his synth. In 2019, Cyprien 'Wendy' Jacquet left Paris for London with the grand ambition of writing his first rock opera. There, the artist who had begun his adventure alone met two musicians, Irene Gonzalez and Domi Hawken, who officially joined the lineup. The trio, inspired by the golden age of British rock, then embarked on a journey back in time to the 70s, abandoning the drum machine to put guitars, bass, and drums back at the center of this new formation. The 'The End Forever' adventure took shape. Rose Tiger's first album was about to be born: a rock opera in three acts where the extravagance of rock-era England musically resonates. Cyprien, Irene, and Domi, embodying Wendy, Abby, and Camelia, then become narrators and characters of this epic sci-fi trilogy. The album, completed with its third act 'The End Forever', will thus conclude the adventure that began in 2022, with the releases of the first two acts 'The Shallows' and 'The Ascent'.
