There is a beautiful friendship and great loyalty between Israeli guitarist Yotam Silberstein (based in New York) and JOJO RECORDS label manager Simon Belelty (also an excellent guitarist). After two albums devoted to covers (Standards Vol.1 and 2) released on JOJO RECORDS, their collaboration continues through an exceptional duo, where Yotam Silberstein dialogues with one of the greatest double bassists in jazz history: Mr. Ron Carter (who will turn 89 on May 4, 2026). It should also be noted that Yotam Silberstein enjoys playing with musicians much older than himself, in order to pay tribute to them and honor their careers while they are still alive and active (before collaborating with Ron Carter, he played with pianist Hank Jones, saxophonist George Coleman, or drummer Billy Hart). This Duets reveals an organic and sensitive musical encounter, where the two musicians weave a melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic fabric, and where the absence of drums is not devoid of swing, freeing up space around a dialogue full of finesse and elegance, built on a latent pulse.
