She collaborated with the French duo Global Network, who brought their electronic pop universe, sometimes sunny on \"Ways of Dreaming,\" sometimes subtle on \"Weakness.\" During a writing camp, she met producer James BKS (Little Simz, Will I Am) and the Italian Dominico; thus was born the song \"Home,\" where James BKS's Afro Hip\/hop influences can be heard. Throughout the album, Romane draws inspiration from girl groups such as The Marvelettes and The Supremes, reappropriating their vocal style, as well as artists like Tracy Chapman and Amy Winehouse. Her Soul reaches its peak on \"No More Doubt,\" where the brass on the chorus seems to emerge straight from Motown's heyday.
