Description

Palmier is the new album by producer and rapper Rocé. At the crossroads of Sade and Rakim, a polished flow over soft melodies, the muffled sound of the saxophone to round off the sharpness of truths chanted. Rocé delivers the melody of hope, the beauty of determination in the face of the impossible. "La Voie Lactée" features the enchanting voice of Natacha Atlas and the sublime orchestrated violins of Samy Bishaï in the soul style of Isaac Hayes, and trip hop of Portishead, for an infinitely soaring journey. "Laisse les enfants courir" unfolds an inhabited hip-hop, between powerful groove and implacable flow, where Rocé blends political lucidity and poetic breath while Cisko's subtle arrangements sculpt an organic, sensitive landscape, between tension and appeasement. On "Lunaire", Rocé surprises us from the outset with a sharp and melodious flow. Carried by strong images and incisive writing, the track transforms anger into creative energy.
