« Carry Fire » is his eleventh solo album and his first since the excellent « Lullaby and ... The Ceaseless Roar » (18,000 copies sold in France) in 2014. It was produced by Plant in the west of England and Wales. As on his latest album, Plant is accompanied by his band The Sensational Space Shifters as well as many guests. Among others, we will find Chrissie Hynde (Pretenders) who will sing a duet with Robert Plant on « Bluebirds over the Mountain ». The first single, « The May Queen » has made a splash among fans of Robert Plant and Led Zeppelin. Indeed, this melancholic track seems to echo the classics of Led Zeppelin, particularly the song « Stairway to Heaven » in which the band already mentioned the May queen.
