Following hot on the heels of "Holidays Inside," the virtuoso second album released on MGMT Records, Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser's label, "Elastics" is the first single from a new album titled "Rêve Party." On the double album "Holidays Inside," Lucien Fraipont showcased a particularly inventive style, with the album overflowing with songwriting and production ideas. Nevertheless, "Rêve Party" is a significant leap forward for Robbing Millions – a bold and coherent collection of tracks that are as inspired as they are meticulously arranged, mostly self-produced at Fraipont's home. Drawing inspiration from his love of "French pop," psychedelic weirdo rock, and a whole swathe of jazz history, Robbing Millions expands its sonic palette while refining its points of inspiration. The final polish was added by Mike Fridmann, a mixer personally recommended by Andrew VanWyngarden of MGMT.
