{"product_id":"risco-connection_risco-version_2022_lba","title":"Risco Version","description":"Strut presents the very first official compilation bringing together all of the reggae\/disco singles by Risco Connection from 1979 to 1980. Drummer \"Drummie\" Joe Isaacs had already made history as the house drummer at Studio 1 in Jamaica on countless pre-reggae classics before moving to Canada in 1968 and is credited with slowing down the fast ska rhythm during the rocksteady era. With Risco Connection, Isaacs released a series of choice reggae\/disco covers, from \"Ain't No Stopping Us Now\" and \"Good Times\" to \"I'm Caught Up (In A One Night Love Affair)\" and \"It's My House\" on limited 12-inch singles on his own Black Rose imprint. \"With Risco Connection, we wanted to try something new, songs that would have a crossover between disco and the rocksteady feel.\" Recorded at Glen Johansen's small Integrated Sound studio in Toronto, the musicians included Isaacs on drums and percussion, bassist Clarence Greer, guitarist Tony Campbell, and keyboardist\/singer Glen Ricketts. Isaacs also brought in a number of great independent singers including Terry Hope, Merlyn \"Lorna\" Brooks, Otis Gayle, Juliette Morgan, and Tobi Lark.","brand":"Risco Connection","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":57475776282968,"sku":null,"price":20220708.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/4062548038606.jpg?v=1780958053","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en\/products\/risco-connection_risco-version_2022_lba","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
