Honesty

Description

Les Rippers were a German band from the late 1960s, authors of the album "Honesty", a record blending beat, psychedelia, and garage rock with soul touches. Originally released in 1968, "Honesty" is characterized by soaring soul organ, incisive guitar riffs, and English vocals carrying the inimitable accent and energy of a band eager to incorporate American and British influences into their own sound. The title track, "Honesty", starts with urgency and melody, while "The Night At The Lagoon" explores the territories of garage-psychedelia, with its pronounced grain and rebellious attitude. It is a rarity on the German beat scene: raw, sincere, and authentically sixties. Les Rippers: Joachim Gottschalk (guitar, vocals), Lutz Wolf (rhythm guitar, vocals, leader), Peter Kempf (drums), Hans Enderle (organ, piano), Fernando Rossell (bass).
