A solo project by the mysterious Niff Nawor, an artist from California's deathrock and anarcho-punk scenes, Riki explores a synth-pop universe that is at once romantic, physical, and daring with this debut album. Produced by Matia Simovich (INHALT), this work navigates between Italo disco, Neue Deutsche Welle, 80s new wave influences, and more pop references like Pat Benatar or Kate Bush. Eight tracks make up this album, where each song becomes an electro-pop declaration, oscillating between assumed nostalgia and a futuristic aesthetic. The single Napoleon asserts itself with a New York sensuality reinterpreted with a West Coast twist, while Böse Lügen (Body Mix), sung in German, reveals a darker, more introspective yet still danceable side.
