Born in Canada, Rick Hughes is the lead singer of the legendary heavy metal band Sword (formed in 1981, "Metallized" in 1986, "Sweet Dreams" in 1988, "The Best of Sword" in 2006, "Live Hammersmith" in 2016, "III" in 2022) and the hard rock band Saints & Sinners (Saints & Sinners in 1992). Throughout his career, he has performed hundreds of headline shows and opened for Metallica, Motörhead, Metal Church, Alice Cooper, Bon Jovi, Warlock, Anthrax, Black Label Society, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, WASP, Helix, Styx, and Lee Aaron. With a wide vocal range and powerful voice, Rick Hughes has performed in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Japan, and is a highly respected international rock and metal singer. His main influences are Robert Plant, Ronnie James Dio, Rob Halford, and French legend Johnny Hallyday. His new solo album, "Redemption," was produced by John Webster (Aerosmith, Tom Cochrane, Mötley Crüe, etc.) in Vancouver and Los Angeles. It features some of the world's greatest metal and hard rock musicians, including an incredible reunion of Ozzy Osbourne's "Speak of the Devil" band for the first single and music video of The Who's classic, "The Real Me."
