Description

The multi-instrumentalist escaped from Arcade Fire signs an album between contemporary and classical music. Before joining Arcade Fire in 2003, Parry grew up in a folk community in Toronto, where everyone sang at large parties in homes. He then formed the instrumental group Bell Orchestre with which he released 3 albums, and in 2014 he released his first album under his name "Music for Heart and Breath" on the famous classical music label Deutsche Grammophon. "Quiet River of Dust," which will be divided into 2 parts, has been in gestation for about ten years and is influenced by classical and contemporary music and the practice of meditation. This album is not meant to be listened to randomly in a playlist, but to be listened to from start to finish, with attention. The album was recorded after an Arcade Fire tour in Japan in 2008, Parry isolated himself in the country and composed "Quiet River of Dust" while meditating and trying to produce music in harmony with himself.
