Two years after an album with Francesco Turrisi, singer and instrumentalist Rhiannon Giddens, twice awarded at the Grammy Awards, is set to unveil her 3rd solo album titled 'You're The One', produced by Jack Splash (Kendrick Lamar, Solange, Alicia Keys). The album, which blends blues, jazz, cajun, country, gospel and rock, testifies to the breadth of knowledge, curiosity and experience of Giddens when it comes to musical sounds from different regions of America; she who has always sought to highlight people whose contributions to American musical history have been neglected or erased, and who advocates for a more accurate understanding of the country's musical origins through art. After the release of her album 'They're Calling Me Home' with Italian multi-instrumentalist Francesco Turrisi two years ago, Rhiannon Giddens is back with her new album 'You're The One'. The singer has developed her own unmistakable style in recent years with her special blend of traditional American folk and old-time music as well as Irish and Gaelic influences. The album was recorded with an ensemble including Giddens' closest musical collaborators over the past decade, a string section and the Miami Horns. The only featured guest on the album is Jason Isbell on "Yet to Be".
