With this new project, Renaud Garcia-Fons leaves the Mediterranean and Hispanic sphere for his city, Paris. Through original compositions, this imaginary stroll juxtaposes the melodic charm of the Paris of his childhood with today's cosmopolitan and bustling Paris. Musical genres combine: musette, chanson, jazz, classical writing, current grooves, like a film transitioning from black and white to color. To traverse the pavement that has replaced the cobblestones of Paris, it was necessary to bring together, around the singing and resolutely melodic double bass of Renaud Garcia-Fons, two instrumentalists who are both poets and virtuosos, David Venitucci and Stephan Caracci, skilled in all styles and whose sounds, the accordion and vibraphone, are capable of serving all the contrasts from tradition to modern jazz. From "Montmartre en courant" to "rue du Dragon," a beautiful way to combine in music, groove and poetry, swagger and nostalgia.
