Description

Musician Guillaume Fresneau's multifaceted personal journey, as (Thisis) Redeye (formerly Redeye), returns from 4 years spent in Austin, Texas, steeped in psychedelic Americana sounds and drenched in reverbs, delays, and other echoes. Still fueled by travels, escapes into nature, and wanderings in vast spaces like the West Texas desert, his songwriting has become more organic, analog, crafted page by page like a sketchbook. Thus, the songwriter navigates between slow, raw folk and chamber pop, with hypnotic and meticulous arrangements. With the help of producer Dan Duszinsky (Molly Burch, RF Shannon, Cross Records), recorded and mixed in Austin, Texas, the new album blends acoustic and organic takes, sometimes recorded on an 8-track Fostex tape machine, with a modern production, to bring a unique and timeless touch to (Thisis) Redeye's sound.
