Old Ramon is the latest album from the Californian band, RED HOUSE PAINTERS. Composed in the spring of '98, the album was scheduled for release that summer. However, a massive merger and acquisition of their label left them without a home, and the band found itself without a label until 2001... before joining the SubPop family, finally allowing them to release their album. Old Ramon also marks the return of their friend and engineer Billy Anderson, who helped them finalize the album. They also took the opportunity to make some arrangements on the majority of the tracks. Today, the album is being released as a double LP.
