SHANKAR FAMILY & FRIENDS is an album by Indian musician Ravi Shankar, recorded in Los Angeles in the spring of 1973 and released only around the end of 1974. The record was produced by his friend George Harrison and was one of the first releases on the 'Dark Horse' label. Out of print for many years, it was first remastered in 2010. The album is being reissued on CD and orchid-colored vinyl.
