"ALL THE SONGS OF WHAT IS POSSIBLE ARE LOVINGLY EXPLORED BY TWO ARTISTS IN HARMONY..." (Jazz Magazine). This duo brings together two musicians seen in 'The Eddy' series. They were undoubtedly meant to meet. Indeed, they probably were. But the jazz planet is sometimes so vast that it's hard to cross paths at any given moment. So, you have to take your time and the blue notes do the rest. Those from the Komos label, for example... They barely sketched a few notes on three of the thirteen tracks that make up the album 'Y Pati'. The rest is pure improvisation, fleeting moments, a desire to play, long dialogues, duets, a jazz game, a nod to Miles, a blues fantasy, a tribute to Jowee's father, or a caress for Randy's daughter. - - Randy settled at the piano but more often at the keyboards: Chamberlin, Osmose, Continum. Jowee, for his part, tackled the saxophone – tenor, alto, soprano – the clarinet, cornet, piccolo flute and... sometimes vocals. "Ultimately, the album was conceived as cinematic jazz," explains Randy. "Film music without a film. The desire was for there to be an incarnation, an evocation, images, every time."
