Matt Piucci and Steven Roback have been writing songs together since 1981, and are the co-founders, along with David Roback, of the critically acclaimed LA Paisley Underground band Rain Parade. Entitled Last Rays Of A Dying Sun, the new record will be released on the brand-new Flatiron Recordings / Label 51, and will contain all new songs from these formidable musicians and songwriters. Highlights drift sweetly into their moorings, as with the acid fuzz guitar and world-weary lyrics of 'Got The Fear', and the hazy distortion and alchemical concerns of the insinuatingly addictive 'Green'. The bright psych-pop of 'Bring You Back' shows Rain Parade's sunnier side.
