Quatuors à Cordes N°3,5 & 6 (Bartók Bound, Vol. 2)
Description
One of the great merits of the Hungarian composer Béla Bartók is that he probably made the most important contribution to the string quartet since Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Schubert and Johannes Brahms. In his six surprisingly varied quartets, Bartók proposed new convincing solutions to problems of form, voice leading and harmony. At the same time, he used Hungarian folk melodies and nearly all traditional contrapuntal techniques. The string quartet genre covers almost his entire composing career, except for the last years he spent in America — although he also made sketches there for a seventh, unfinished string quartet.Buy Quatuors à Cordes N°3,5 & 6 (Bartók Bound, Vol. 2) at the best price
