Quinteplus

Description

Quinteplus was born in Buenos Aires in the late 1960s, directly stemming from the ideas and experiments of the legendary Agrupación Nuevo Jazz. Founded in the early 1960s, this collective brought together some of the most avant-garde figures of Argentine jazz and functioned as a creative laboratory, where musicians questioned the future of jazz. Among the key ideas explored were the fusion of jazz with Argentine folkloric styles such as zamba, chacarera, malambo, cueca, and candombe, as well as a deeper dive into African rhythms, serving as a bridge between different musical universes.
