Plier-dûˋplier

Description

A four hands piece by two composers New developments in the world of string quartets and contemporary music. A work created by two composers: Daniel D'Adamo and Thierry Blondeau. This record reflects music of today carried by a rare and unique project. By agreeing to carry out this project, the composers and the Quatuor Bûla, a quartet founded in 2006 that recorded the complete quartets of Ligeti, have indeed led an innovative and accomplished project that, after performances on stage (Lyon and Marseille), found its definitive form in this recording. Plier-Déplier is a commission from the state whose creation was the subject of a Coproduction Grame (CNCM Lyon) - Biennale Musiques en Scène and Cûsarû (CNCM Reims). The presence of two short pieces, Last Week-End on Mars by Thierry Blondeau and Découper - petite passacaille by Daniel D'Adamo, is due to the fact that the Cuicatl collection wishes to include works that are technically accessible and therefore likely to be played by a large number of musicians, particularly students from Conservatories. These three works are performed by the Quatuor Bûla composed of: Julien Dieudegard & Frédéric Aurier (violin), Julian Boutin (viola), Luc Dedreuil (cello).
