Curao is the very first album bringing together the brilliant producer Quantic and the Colombian folk singer Nidia Góngora. Originally from Timbiquí, the daughter of singer parents, Nidia inherits her passion for singing from her mother and her vocal and rhythmic technique from her father. She notably leads the group Canalón de Timbiquí and participates in the projects of Candelario Gonzalez and Alé Kumá. She also collaborates with Quantic, whether on stage or on album, where she contributes to some of his most popular songs. With contagious dance rhythms, captivating songwriting, and hyper-modern production, Curao brings a new and highly original interpretation of a rich, mystical musical tradition unique to the Colombian Pacific coast.
