Originally released in 2006 on Sony BMG, the album was produced by Paul Northfield (Rush, Porcupine Tree, Dream Theater) and contains some of the band's most beloved tracks, including "The Bright Ambassadors of Morning," "He Tried To Show Them Magic," and "The Intention Craft." The Dark Third (2020 Reissue) is available in Digipak 2CD and special edition 2LP + 2CD, containing notes written by Jon Courtney and Chloë Alper, members of the band, as well as producer Paul Northfield. The new vinyl edition includes the bonus track "Golden Clothes," which appears for the first time on vinyl.
