{"product_id":"punch_punch_2026_mdl","title":"Punch","description":"Formed in 1969 on Long Island, Punch was an ambitious hard rock band with ferocious energy. Composed of Dave Stein on vocals, Ray Kusnier on guitar, Tony Giustra on bass, and Pete Tudda on drums, the band offered a sound that critics described as \"harder-than-hard rock,\" played at a deafening volume. Punch's relentlessly energetic music propelled the band with incisive guitar riffs and vocals that were at times sinuous, at times raw. During their three years of existence, Punch shared the stage with Chicago's Illinois Speed Press and New York's Elephant's Memory. The band quickly made a name for itself on the New York scene, performing notably at the Village Gate, Café Wha?, and Ungano's. However, it was in Montreal that they found their most receptive audience, and their powerful performances were deeply appreciated. The band used enormous amps to create a deafening sound, saturating the space with only three instruments, a technique employed by Led Zeppelin and Mountain. Although Punch only existed until 1972, their music gains power over time, attracting a new generation of followers. Their uncompromising approach still hits just as hard today and reminds us what raw hard rock was like before the advent of a more polished sound in the mid-1970s.","brand":"Punch","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":56892177449304,"sku":null,"price":20260508.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/0647581301692.jpg?v=1775682489","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en\/products\/punch_punch_2026_mdl","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
