Description

'Novum' is the name of the new studio album by Procol Harum. It is the thirteenth record of the band, which is also celebrating its fiftieth anniversary in 2017. The visual is a reference to the cover of their first self-titled album released in 1967. Driven by the immense and ongoing success of the first single 'A Whiter Shade Of Pale', Procol Harum helped define progressive rock in the early seventies, while drawing their roots from blues and soul. Most of the lyrics were written by Pete Brown, famous for his collaboration with Cream. This gives a different and lighter atmosphere to the songs, while maintaining the provocative content for which the band is known.
