Remastered edition of the 1995 album "The Sky Moves Sideways"
'The Sky Moves Sideways' is Porcupine Tree’s third studio album, released in February 1995. It was the first Porcupine Tree album to be released in the USA (albeit with a modified tracklist), and the first on which Porcupine Tree was a band rather than just a pseudonym for Steven Wilson.
Considered by many fans to be one of Porcupine Tree’s best albums and a cornerstone of any Porcupine Tree collection, the album was recorded partly as a Steven Wilson solo project and partly as a band album. "The Sky Moves Sideways" is a diverse experimental rock album, covering space rock and progressive rock styles with long, guitar-driven instrumental sections.
The album is now reissued in gatefold packaging and presented with Steven Wilson’s stunning 2017 remasters, first heard in 'The Delerium Years' box set. Disc 1 is the original album as intended for vinyl. Disc 2 features an alternative version of the title track containing music that was ultimately cut from the original album version, as well as different lyrics. It also features tracks from the "Stars Die" EP and "Moonloop".
