Plastikman recorded "EX" live at the Guggenheim in New York after being invited by Raf Simons, Dior's influential artistic director, to the Guggenheim's annual fundraiser. Richie Hawtin is many things at once—an extraordinary DJ, the creator of the ENTER. experience, the mastermind behind the Minus label, a technology pioneer, an art enthusiast (in 2011, he collaborated with Anish Kapoor for his exhibition at the Grand Palais). But above all, he was and still is Plastikman, an electro phenomenon with legions of fanatical followers.
