Guitarist, singer, composer and improviser, Pierre Tereygeol has been developing a unique professional career for around fifteen years at the crossroads of jazz, world music, improvised music and experimental song. Trained in several conservatories and active on the French and European scene, he founded and directs numerous ensembles where he explores the relationships between writing, voice-guitar and improvisation, seeking to create a dialogue between the languages of contemporary jazz, popular music and poetic forms. He is a founding member and co-composer of the group Baabox, a collective led by singer Leïla Martial, a group winner of the Victoires du Jazz 2020 and the Prix du Disque Vocal de l'Académie du Jazz for Warm Canto, their second album. His unique writing combines a complex rhythmic approach, open harmonies and an adventurous vocal dimension in the service of the singularity of the improvising performers.He will release in early 2026 his solo project "Always Near", a work around the encounter between a personal approach to jazz and the language of song, its codes, its foundations. It mixes improvisation and the work of composition and arrangement. There are many guests on this album (Emile Parisien, Christelle Raquillet, Guillaume Latil, Mathias Levy, Thibault Gomez).
