Presented at the Venice Film Festival, Sébastien Marnier's *L'Origine du mal* is a thrillingly effective film with an impressive cast (Laure Calamy, Doria Tillier, Jacques Weber...). For the film's music, we find the talented Quebecois artist Pierre Lapointe. He co-composed the entire score with composer Philippe Brault. The Quebecois star also invites successful singer Fishbach (60M streams in France) for a captivating duet on "L'Origine Du Mal". The two artists offer a Gainsbourg-esque interpretation, responding to each other throughout the track. The composition masterfully sublimates the codes of 80s Pop, fully embracing a perfectly controlled melancholy.

About *L'Origine du mal*: In a luxurious seaside villa, a modest young woman encounters a strange family: an unknown and very wealthy father, his eccentric wife, his ambitious businesswoman daughter, a rebellious teenager, and a unsettling maid.
